A food diary nobody else gets to read
Your meals, weigh-ins and settings are written to your phone and stay there. Caloriator makes exactly one kind of network request: when you scan a barcode it sends that barcode number to the public OpenFoodFacts database and gets the nutrition values back.
That is the whole story. No account, no cloud, no sync, no analytics, no personal data collected — and nothing to cancel later.
- Stored on the deviceMeals, weigh-ins, own products and settings — all local.
- One request, one numberThe scanner sends the barcode. Nothing else leaves your phone.
- Yours to take with youBack the whole history up to a file whenever you want.
- Free without a catchNo ads to look at, no subscription to remember.
Everything you need to count calories — nothing you do not
Built by someone who used it to lose weight, and kept only the parts that actually helped.
Scan a barcode instead of typing
Point the camera at a product and its calories, protein, carbs and fat fill in on their own, straight from the OpenFoodFacts database. Scanned products land in your own list, so the second time you eat it, it is already there.
- Calories and macros filled in automatically
- Edit anything the database got wrong
- Scanned products are saved for next time
A food diary that takes a minute a day
Add what you ate, pick the portion and the calories and macros are recalculated for you. Recently used foods sit at the top of the picker, whole days can be copied from another date, and when you are eating out you can quick-add the calories alone.
- Recent foods always one tap away
- Copy a whole day from another date
- Quick add for meals you cannot weigh
See the deficit, not just the day
One day tells you nothing; a week tells you everything. The home screen shows today against your target, the week as a bar chart, your daily average, the running balance and the weight change that balance is heading for — so you can correct on Thursday instead of finding out on Sunday.
- Today's balance and the weekly balance side by side
- Weekly weight-change forecast in kilograms
- Logging streak to keep you honest
A food database, and room for your own
Caloriator ships with a built-in database you can search instantly, and adding your own foods takes a moment — your oatmeal, your bread, your protein shake, with the values you trust. Import a list from CSV, or export your log when you want the numbers elsewhere.
- Built-in foods, searchable offline
- Add and edit your own products and recipes
- CSV import of foods, export of your log
Watch the weight actually move
Weigh in whenever you like and the app keeps the history and draws the curve. Over weeks the chart shows the trend the bathroom scale hides behind day-to-day noise — the single best reason to keep logging.
- Weigh-in history with progress charts
- Optional weigh-in reminders
- Kilograms or pounds, metric or imperial
Not sure how many calories you need?
The built-in calculator works it out from your age, gender, height, weight and activity level, then offers ready targets: maintain your weight, lose half a kilo a week, lose one, or gain. One tap sets it as your daily target — and you can change it any time.
- Daily calorie needs from your own numbers
- Targets for losing, maintaining or gaining
- One tap to apply, easy to revise later

A quiet consistency counter. Nothing motivates like not wanting to break the run.
Accessible
Screen-reader (TalkBack) support throughout, in English and Polish.
Three steps, then a minute a day
You do not need a plan, a coach or a subscription. You need a number and the habit of writing things down.
Set your daily target
Open the calorie calculator, enter your age, gender, height, weight and activity level, and pick the goal you want — maintain, lose or gain. One tap makes it your daily target.
Log what you eat
Scan a barcode, search the database, pick a saved group or quick-add the calories. Choose the portion and the macros follow. It really does take a minute.
Check the week, not the day
Look at the weekly balance and the forecast, weigh in now and then, and let the chart tell you whether the plan is working. Adjust and carry on.

A look around the app
Questions people ask first
Is Caloriator really free?
Yes. Every feature is free. There are no ads, no subscriptions, no paid tier and nothing is locked behind a purchase.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up, no e-mail address and no login. You install the app and start logging.
Where is my data stored?
On your phone only. Meals, weigh-ins and settings live in a database on the device. There is no cloud sync and no analytics, and no personal data is collected.
Does the app work offline?
Yes. Everything works without a connection except the barcode scanner, which needs the internet to look the product up.
What does the barcode scanner send?
Only the barcode number, and only to the public OpenFoodFacts database, so the nutrition values can come back. Nothing else ever leaves the device.
How do I move my history to a new phone?
Settings contains a backup to a file. Export the file, copy it to the new phone and restore it there — your whole history comes with you.
Which platforms is Caloriator available on?
Android on Google Play and iPhone on the App Store, in English and Polish.
